    On the Weekend of November 5th and 6th, we will have a speaker from Woman’s New Life Center at all the Masses to present the Baby Bottle Campaign. The Center is a non-profit professional counseling center and medical clinic serving women and families struggling with unplanned pregnancies. Donations collected enable them to offer free pregnancy tests, ultrasounds and professional counseling for unplanned pregnancies and for those struggling with a past abortion.     All Saints Day is a Holy Day of Obligation. Vigil Mass will be celebrated at 5:30pm on Monday, October 31st. Masses on Tuesday, November 1st will be at 7am, 8:15am (Children’s Mass – SBS),12 Noon, and 6:00pm. Please note that because of the Vigil Mass for All Saints Day on Monday, October 31st, there will be no Holy Hour or Confessions from 6:00-7:00pm. The Parish Office will be closed on Tuesday, November 1st in observance of All Saints Day.

    On All Souls Day we honor all of our deceased loved ones in a special way. Here at St. Benilde Church we will be remembering your deceased loved ones both on this day with the celebration of Holy Mass (Wednesday, November 2nd) and at all of the Masses throughout the month of November. In that spirit, we invite you to inscribe the names of those you wish for us to remember and pray for on All Souls Day and during the Masses throughout the month of November on the special All Souls Remembrance Envelopes found in the vestibule of the Church. Please place your envelopes in the collection basket or bring them to the Parish Office before November 1st. The suggested donation is $5.00 per name recorded on your envelop. Mass remembrance envelopes will remain on the altar throughout the month of November and names will be printed in the Parish Bulletin.

Claiborne Avenue in New Orleans, from Sep. 28 through Nov. 6th. While our parish will not be adopting an entire day this year to pray outside the facility, we invite each of you and your families and friends to join another parish or group during these 40 days to spend at least one hour in prayer on any day(s) of the campaign.     The Society of St. Vincent de Paul is sponsoring a “Friends of the Poor Walk” on Saturday, Sept. 24, at Laketown Park & Walking Path, Kenner. Onsite registration begins at 8 a.m. The one-mile walk will start at 9 a.m. Music and refreshments will be provided from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Overflow parking is available in the Treasure Chest Casino parking lot. Walkers are to solicit and collect pledges. Donations appreciated. This weekend (September 10th and 11th) SVDP members will be at all the Masses with more information, registration forms, and accepting donations. Forms for preregistration are also available in the Parish Office or online at www.FOPWALK.ORG.
